How This Agent Uses Artificial Intelligence While Zillow’s Algorithm Is Failing

Washinton D.C. — When will Zillow be coming back in this space, and what do we do meanwhile?

-

This is a question that a lot of real estate agents are asking themselves right now.

-

Although Agents aren’t out of the woods yet, some of them are already using artificial intelligence as an opportunity to level up their business while their competitors are scaling back.

-

This is what Joe Franklin thought before Zillow’s attempt to take over the industry:

-

-

-

“I work hard to provide a good life for my family, I am not going to be taken down by some entity,” said Joe.

-

Many Agents have reacted not just after Zillow’s betrayal, but also from Realtor.com.

-

Zillow went on record before saying they did not intend to become a brokerage, but Zillow Offers operated as one.

-

And after having massive losses with the iBuyer program, Zillow is now back to selling leads to Agents as their main revenue source.

-

-

-

OpenDoor also paid Realtor.com to be featured as a permanent alternative to sellers - “not use Agents”, and to sell their homes bypassing real estate agents.

-

There will be no listing appointments if consumers are being advised that iBuyers is a “better alternative”. They simply do not have any control.

-

-

-

Joe realized that if he was going to compete with the iBuyers, he had to branch out in the right direction.

-

If you look at the numbers, iBuyers only think about the customer as a single-transaction paycheck.

-

Giving customers less attention, worse results, and the worst experience.

-

Meaning that they have little to no Customer Lifetime Value because their customers will be less likely to work with them again, and won't recommend them to other people.

-

When a real estate agent operates a business based on relationships, their clients get more attention, better experience, and an amazing result.

-

Which means their clients will likely work with them again after 9 years, and will send that Agent at least 2 referrals throughout their lifetime.

-

After being betrayed by platforms he once supported, Joe is now working closely with tech companies that truly support real estate agents instead of replacing them.

-

According to experts, the industry is in a massive change accelerated by the impending digital boom, and the winners will be decided soon.

-

Real estate agents can either be controlling tech or be the ones being controlled by tech.
